Over a decade in practice, treating patients across the full spectrum of digestive and metabolic health — from acid reflux and IBS to hepatitis B, hepatitis C, fatty liver, and diabetes. The work is clinical, but the conversations are human.
Beyond his clinic practice, Dr Usman has served in a Senior Administrative Position at Services Hospital, Lahore — one of Punjab's largest public hospitals — and is an MRCGP Examiner at The Indus Hospital. This breadth of experience keeps him close to both individual patient care and broader population-level health.
Most digestive and liver problems are misdiagnosed not because the science is hard, but because the conversation is rushed. A careful history — five minutes of real listening — often tells more than three lab panels and an ultrasound.
So my visits are structured around the patient, not the printout. We talk about what is actually happening: the meals you have started avoiding, the sleep you are losing, the trips to the bathroom you have stopped counting. From there, the tests come — purposefully, not reflexively.
I believe in showing patients their own data. If you have had labs, ultrasounds, or endoscopies done, we will go through them together. You should leave each visit knowing what is wrong, what we are doing about it, and what to watch for at home.
That is the practice I have spent a decade building, and the practice I keep refining.
Dr Usman's career has spanned independent practice, large-hospital leadership, and government regulation — each role informs the next.
